Qualifying nonprofits are invited to apply for Moab City’s Community Recreation, Arts and Parks (RAP) grants by Feb. 27, 2026. The application form, grant guidelines, and additional information about the program are available at moabcity.gov/RAP.
“The City of Moab is thrilled to facilitate the RAP Tax Community grant program again in 2026,” said Patrick Trim, Moab City Parks, Recreation, and Trails Director. “Since 2022, the RAP Tax Technical Advisory Committee has had the pleasure of funding many valuable community projects, programs and events that add to the vibrancy of our city.”
RAP community grants are available specifically for projects related to arts, culture, recreation, and parks projects, programs and events. Funds will be distributed through a competitive process with qualifying applications reviewed and scored by the five-member Recreation, Arts and Parks Tax Advisory Committee (RAP TAC). Members of the citizen committee are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Moab City Council. 2026 welcomes four new members to the TAC who bring with them a passion for community engagement and a diverse range of experience and expertise. The committee presents recommendations for project funding to the City Council based on application review.
In 2025, RAP Tax revenues were used to help fund the construction of a new playground at Swanny City Park, an identified community priority and an asset to Moab’s flagship park. RAP Grant funds in 2025 helped support 18 separate organizations spanning a variety of projects and events.
