Help PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY - PICK UP SANDBAGS TODAY!
As we head into summer, the potential for rainstorms increases. The past several years have brought at least one or two severe rainstorms that resulted in flooding along Mill and Pack creeks as well as areas in downtown Moab.
City of Moab crews continue working to reinforce bridges and clear potential hazards along Mill Creek in preparation for possible flooding. The City, County and local agencies will be working together to facilitate flood management efforts and plan for any needed emergency response.
Residents and businesses can do their part to help protect their property by having sandbags ready. The City is making sandbags available at self-filling locations in town. The sand and bags are free of charge. Fill your own, and bring a shovel if you have one.
