Miles Loftin

I’ve lived in Moab for over a third of my life. This town is my home, and I’m proud to serve the community that has shaped who I am.

I bring a perspective grounded in real lived experience. I’ve worked hard to build a successful small contracting business, and for more than a decade I was a renter in Moab’s challenging housing market. Having experienced housing instability firsthand, alongside the opportunity to put down roots, I understand the pressures many locals face and have a deep, personal stake in making Moab work better for everyone who calls it home.

Before being elected, I served for several years on the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission, where I worked closely with City staff, residents, and local businesses. In that role and through my professional work as a contractor, I saw firsthand how much progress is possible when collaboration is prioritized, as well as where inefficiencies can be improved for the benefit of the whole community.

As an elected official, I am focused on creating and preserving housing opportunities for locals, advancing common-sense traffic solutions that make downtown safer for everyone, and ensuring that Moabites see their tax dollars invested in the shared challenges we face. My goal is to help keep Moab a community that remains livable, welcoming, and resilient for the people who bring it to life.

Miles Loftin was elected to a four-year City Council seat in November 2025. His term runs from January 2026 through December 2029.
